One of the very best online lessons are from Jonny May. Jonny is a professional pianist, who has played everywhere from weddings to Disneyland! His lessons are geared around jazz and blues, but there are also tutorials on boogie woogie, rock and roll and many others! Jonny has taster lessons on YouTube on his channel ‘Piano with Jonny’. If you want an in depth lesson, you can subscribe to his lessons for a very reasonable fee, unlocking backing tracks, sheet music and extra lessons! Free Online Jazz Lessons
At freejazzlessons.com, Steve Nixon has an awful lot to offer. His tutorials are aimed at jazz pianists of all abilities, but Steve comes into his own when dealing with near-professionals. Some of his lick lessons are very complex and technically challenging, yet sound sublime. All his lessons come with free sheet music, and an email subscription gives you access to loads of jazz scores, lead sheets, extra lessons and more, all costing you absolutely nothing! If you want to learn some Ray Charles style kicks and motifs, this is the course for you. It must be noted that these lessons are very difficult, and are not for the faint hearted.
