I am a native of the Rio Grande Valley. I attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, and studied trumpet under Dr. Charles Gates. At Ole Miss. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Texas at Pan-American in Edinburg in 1995 where he studied trumpet under Dr. Dean Canty.
