Thank you for having me here, this looks like a fantastic place to read and learn!
I am a 50 yr old musician, lately I've put together a small production studio (and I mean small) and began creating some different and interesting stuff. A few people commented that they could hear it in film and that sparked my interest. I am completely green at all of this and am reading books and talking with people about licensing and whatnot.

Hello again
I was wondering if someone could help me out with a few questions?
Even though I've read a few books on licensing and so forth, I am still very confused about the process, and I want to make sure everything is in order if/and when someone wants some of my music.
Do I provide the different licenses or will I be presented with one?
I own all my recordings, do I need to copyright every single one if I have them registered on ASCAP?
How should I prepare my recordings to be ready for licensing so any negotiations go smoothly?
