Ennio Morricone - Composer Focus

Ennio Morricone

Another composer akin to John Williams...has a machine to churn the stuff out (or a few dozen ghost composers who can imitate his style).

Recently heard two sound-track CDs: Metello and Sepolta Viva - the latter is lush and very sweet-tooth - nice music to calm the fevered brow!

I quite like his music when in the right mood but not enough to buy one of the compilation CD sets.

Anyone else know his music?

His music is lovely.
I am actually having a few of my piano students learn his compositions (piano versions)

I would not go as far to say as he paved the way. He does have quite a unique style though.
